An overview

Since 2005, MBN has been deeply involved in community initiatives. He founded NAMAM in 2010. He served as President of FOKANA from 2018-2020, showcasing exceptional leadership. A Rotarian since 1985, he was President of Rotary Clubs in Woodbridge and Perth Amboy during 2015-2016. Additionally, he's a trustee board member of ESHA. In 2017, MBN established the MBN Foundation, focusing on skill development and cancer prevention, particularly breast cancer awareness.

NAMAM (North American Malayalee and Associated Members) is an Indian community association situated in New Jersey, USA. This non-profit organization was founded in the year 2010 by Madhavan B. Nair.

Under his strong and inspiring leadership, a team of enthusiastic people with unswerving dedication has transformed the organization into a platform for families to come together and experience a wonderful sense of belonging and oneness.

NAMAM has been reaching out to the community with varied cultural programs, social gatherings, and humanitarian aid efforts. NAMAM Excellence Award is one of the prestigious award ceremony recognizing ones contribution to the community from different walks of life.

FOKANA (Federation of Kerala Associations in North America) is the largest and oldest organization of its kind, with over 70 member associations in the US and Canada, representing about 1 million NRIs.

MBN is actively involved in operations of FOKANA since 2014. He held roles as National Committee Member (2014-2016), National Convention Chairman (2016-2018), President (2018-2020), and now serves as a Trustee Board member.

The Educators' Society for Heritage of India (ESHA) is a non-profit organization that provides educational resources focused on the culture and heritage of India.

Its mission is to enhance and expand educational materials related to India's heritage and culture, recognizing their significance within both ancient and contemporary world cultures and wisdom traditions.

MBN serves as the Trustee Board Member of ESHA.

The MBN Foundation was established in 2017 as a non-profit organization with the goal of promoting skill development for students and providing preventive education on cancer, particularly breast cancer.

Skill development is considered essential for holistic growth across all fields. The MBN Foundation aims to foster individual development and enhance personal abilities through targeted skill-building initiatives.

Madhavan B Nair established the MBN Foundation in 2017 as a philanthropic organization under IRC Section 501(c). The foundation aims to enhance student skills and promote early awareness for breast cancer prevention, benefiting the community as a whole.

The foundation uses spelling and STEM competitions to develop students' skill sets. MBN Foundation emphasizes the importance of knowledge assimilation and retention for academic success. It also advocates for early awareness initiatives to reduce cancer incidence, particularly breast cancer. The foundation collaborates with medical professionals to promote effective breast cancer awareness.

The MBN Mini-Matching Grants program, created in memory of Nair's daughter Janaki Nair Avula, aligns with the foundation's objectives by providing matched donations. This ongoing project is open to all associations in New Jersey.
