Madhavan B. Nair completed his early education in Neyyattinkara. He attended Government School for his primary education, St. Mary's School in Pattom for middle school, and Government High School in Kattathurai for his higher secondary education. He earned degrees in Law and Management. Madhavan B Nair joined the Indian Air Force in 1972 as a Combatant when he was a college sophomore. After leaving the Air Force, he joined the Trivandrum Bar to practice law. Additionally, he was a resource person for the Department of Commerce & Management at Kerala University for nearly a decade before moving to the United States in 1997.
